It may not sound like much, but when you’re stuck in cattle class for 20+ hours from London to Sydney you’ll know just how important it is to choose an airline that has ‘comfortable’ seats. I found a post ranking the most comfortable economy class seats that I’m sharing with friends and bookmarking, or at least imprinting the results in my conscious mind. There’s also a video making the rounds about ‘secret seats‘ or seats that offer more legroom and a bigger recline than others in coach, but nobody really knows about them: it’s worth checking out as well.

There are hotels that don’t deserve to be open to the paying public, nice hotels, good hotels, classy hotels and expensive hotels. But to be honest about it, a hotel is a hotel, often no more than a bland corporate nonentity with varying degrees of quality. So if budget wasn’t an issue you’d want to stay somewhere different, possibly non-branded, off the beaten track, a place where you can really relax.
